A top AEW star, who refused to sign with WWE, talked about her new deal with All Elite Wrestling. Thekla became an instant hit in Tony Khan’s company weeks after arriving. She has her own faction, the Triangle of Madness, consisting of Skye Blue and Julia Hart. Fans have been enjoying her work so far. She even holds the AEW Women’s World Championship right now. She defeated Kris Statlander for the title in February 2026.
Also, when the Toxic Spider came to All Elite Wrestling last year, she signed a two-year deal. However, after her solid performance, Tony Khan reportedly decided to renew her deal in February 2026, likely extending it before it expired. At the same time, Thekla claimed that she wasn’t interested in joining WWE, mainly due to its authoritarian structure.
While speaking on TMZ’s Inside the Ring, Thekla confirmed that Tony Khan offered her a new contract. The Toxic Spider also claimed that she doesn’t want to go to WWE.
“I think AEW is a perfect fit for me. So when boss man asked me, ‘Hey, would you mind staying with us for a little longer than we originally said?’ I was like, ‘Yeah, if the circumstances are right and allow it for me to feel lucrative enough, I’m definitely thinking that could be a very cute idea.’ So it’s great. Honestly, a no-brainer. I love TK. I love working with him, and I love his energy backstage, and all the girls are nice. The locker room is quiet and peaceful, and I love my job. It’s cute. I don’t think the grass is greener anywhere else because I’m sitting in a f*cking flower garden,” she said. [H/T – WrestlePurist’s X]
