Marvel Studios’ crew member dies after on set accident of ‘Marvel Man’ sequence

A crew member engaged on Marvel Studios’ new sequence “Wonder Man” has died after an accident on set.

In response to Deadline, a rigger working at Radford Studios in Studio Metropolis died at present after falling from a catwalk. The male crew member, who reportedly died on the scene, was engaged on the set, however the sequence was not filming. Particulars surrounding the accident should not clear.

IATSE, the union representing 1000’s of behind the scenes movie, tv and theater employees, launched a press release to Fox Information Digital from its president, Matthew D. Loeb. 

“Everyone in the IA family is shocked and deeply saddened by this tragic loss. We are working to support our member’s family, and his fellow members and colleagues,” mentioned Loeb. “Safety on set is our highest priority and we will assist Cal/OSHA in their investigation in any way that we can.”

He continued, “If you happen to really feel unsafe on set for any purpose, members can name the IATSE Security Hotline at 844-422-9273 or use our security data app.”

Marvel Studios’ said in a statement to Deadline, “Our ideas and deepest condolences are along with his household and associates, and our help is behind the investigation into the circumstances of this accident.”

Representatives for Radford Studio Middle, situated in Studio City, California, instructed Fox Information Digital “no remark” on the incident.

According to Deadline, “Marvel Man” is set to start production next month, following delays from the writers and actors’ strikes last summer.

“Marvel Man” stars “Aquaman” alum Yahya Abdul-Mateen II as Simon Williams, who turns into the titular superhero.

Per Variety, in the comic books, Simon Williams is the son of a wealthy industrialist whose company is run out of business by Stark Industries, run by Tony Stark (played in the Marvel films by Robert Downey Jr.).
