Mexico detains 2 Iranians being monitored by FBI

Mexico’s immigration agency mentioned Friday its brokers have detained two Iranians who they are saying had been beneath remark by the FBI.

The Nationwide Immigration Institute didn’t say what the supposed FBI investigation was about.

The company mentioned a complete of five Iranians had been detained together with their Haitian driver, who was apparently appearing as their information on a freeway between the Baja California border cities of Tijuana and Tecate on Wednesday.

It mentioned their automobile was stopped at a toll sales space as a result of brokers suspected they had been going to attempt to cross into the US.

The company mentioned two of the Iranians had been “under observation by the Federal Bureau of Investigations.”
