A Nashville man allegedly killed his spouse with a hammer at their house on New Yr’s Day and buried her physique in a grave on their property in one other county, authorities stated.

Joseph Glynn, 70, was arrested Saturday after police uncovered the physique of his 76-year-old spouse, Jackie Glynn, buried in a six-foot grave on property the couple shared in Dekalb County, the Metropolitan Nashville Police Department stated. A Silver Alert had been issued for Jackie a day earlier.

After police issued a Silver Alert for Jackie on Friday, investigators tracked down her automobile close to the couple’s property in Dekalb County, based on the report. Police stated a freshly lined gap was later discovered on the property.

Investigators discovered Jackie buried within the gap, which was six ft vast, ten ft lengthy, and 6 ft deep. Her physique was inside a plastic car cargo field, which was hidden below a pile of roofing shingles, WSMV-TV reported, citing police.

Glynn had a contractor dig the outlet on Dec. 16 for what he had claimed was for a burn pit, based on investigators.

The hammer Glynn allegedly used to kill his spouse has but to be recovered. Authorities stated that Glynn ditched the homicide weapon on the Keltonburg Group Heart.

Glynn was booked into the Davidson County Jail on expenses of prison murder, abuse of a corpse and proof tampering. He’s being held on $1,030,000 bond.
