Oklahoma lacking girls search: ‘Increasingly difficult’ to seek out them alive, investigators say

The Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation (OSBI) instructed Fox Information Digital that “it’s becoming more and more challenging” to seek out Veronica Butler and Jilian Kelley alive as the times mount with no indicators of the lacking Kansas girls’s whereabouts.

OSBI public data supervisor Hunter McKee made the remark Tuesday because it has now been 10 days since the women vanished whereas touring to choose up kids. Investigators say their automobile was discovered deserted on March 30 in a rural space of Oklahoma and “foul play” is suspected. 

“It’s a lot of land. Middle of nowhere, so searches still are continuing,” McKee mentioned. “We still are working on talking with multiple people and hopefully we can find something soon.” 

“It’s been over a week,” he added. “We are hopeful that we can find them alive, but obviously it’s becoming more and more challenging.”

The OSBI introduced final Thursday that “Primarily based on the data obtained from the sufferer’s [abandoned] automobile, our investigators consider there was evidence to indicate foul play.” 

A lacking individuals advisory from the Texas County Sheriff’s Workplace mentioned that Butler has “several tattoos, a Chinese symbol on her left forearm, a sunflower on her left shoulder” and that “Jilian has a butterfly tattoo on her left forearm.”

The automobile they had been touring in was “found abandoned near Highway 95 and Road L, south of Elkhart, Kansas, in rural Texas County,” in line with the OSBI.
