Julius Erving snubbed LeBron James from his all-time list on national television broadcaster Brandon “Scoop B” Robinson’s “Words with Scoop” show on Monday. Later on the show, the broadcaster asked Dr. J to explain why he left the 76ers star off his list.
The Sixers icon priased James and revealed his expectations for the new 76ers lineup heading into the 2026-27 NBA season.

“I usually talk about retired players being part of all-time teams, not current players. He hasn’t retired yet, so it’s hard to put him in his position until his career is over,” he said.

“What’s going to happen in Philly? It is going to be very exciting for the fans of Philadelphia and for LeBron. That particular team can set some records and win some championships, but they have to do it on the court, not with lip service.”
Robinson shared the video of him interviewing Erving on X, flooding the comments section.
“No Julius…. You’re just like all the other old heads that don’t wanna give Bron his respect,” one fan said.

Lakers icon Byron Scott offered a different perspective on LeBron James’ move to the Philadelphia 76ers this offseason. On Monday, Marca reported Scott’s take on James’ decision to leave the Lakers.
“He’s not chasing rings. He’s chasing his legacy to continue to play this game at a very high level,” Scott said. “Now, does Philly probably give him the best chance to win a ring? Probably so. If you look at their team on paper, they’re pretty loaded. And he doesn’t have to do a whole lot of heavy lifting with this team.”
LeBron James spent eight seasons in LA, the longest he has spent with any team in his career in a single stint. During his time there, he won one championship for the Purple and Gold.
