President Trump on Thursday evening announced a new Acting Secretary of the Army after Dan Driscoll resigned.

Dan Driscoll resigned after months of tension with Secretary of War Pete Hegseth.
“I am pleased to announce that Adam Telle, the current Assistant Secretary of the Army for Civil Works, will become Acting Secretary of the Army, effective immediately. He is a Great Patriot, who is respected by all. Thank you for your attention to this matter! President DONALD J. TRUMP” Trump said on Thursday evening.
Pentagon spokesperson Sean Parnell is Secretary of War Pete Hegseth’s top choice to replace Army Secretary Dan Driscoll.
Hegseth is reportedly floating Pentagon spokesman Sean Parnell to replace Driscoll, according to CBS News and Semafor.

Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth has told people close to him that Sean Parnell would be his top choice for secretary of the Army, several senior officials told CBS News.
Parnell is currently chief Pentagon spokesperson and a former Army officer.
A Defense Department spokesperson said: “The DOW [Department of War] doesn’t comment on private conversations between administration officials.”
The White House is looking at names for a replacement for Army Secretary Dan Driscoll, who has submitted his resignation after months of tension with Hegseth. White House Chief of Staff Susie Wiles is leading the process to name his successor.
Hegseth called Adam a “great patriot.”
