Tua Tagovailoa made his preseason debut for the Atlanta Falcons against the Denver Broncos on Friday. In his limited game time, the quarterback completed three of five passes for 22 yards and didn’t offer much to his offense.

On his first possession, Tagovailoa fumbled a snap, which drew wild reactions from fans. Some also felt that the QB, who is entering his seventh year in the NFL, hasn’t learnt from his previous mistakes.

“Brain dead. Concentration lapses. Do you see Tom Brady botch snaps all the time? I remember flying to Miami to watch them play Arizona and that moron botched a snap in the end zone causing safety and we lost the game in 4 th qtr. he’s Atlantas prob now,” another added.

Tagovailoa was drafted by the Miami Dolphins with the No. 5 pick in 2020. He spent six seasons with the franchise, recording 18,166 passing yards, 120 touchdowns and 59 interceptions. The quarterback also has 44 total fumbles during his career.
Tagovailoa compiled a 44-32 regular season record and a 0-1 postseason record during his time with Miami. He was released by the Dolphins in March, before the QB signed a one-year deal with the Falcons.

As things stand, the Falcons have not yet named a starting QB for the 2026 season. However, Tagovailoa is expected to compete with Michael Penix Jr. for the starting role.
