Teen killed in shark assault off Australia’s coast, officers say

A 15-year-old boy was killed by a shark assault within the waters off Australia’s south coast, police have confirmed. 

South Australia police mentioned the physique was pulled from the water after the assault, close to Ethel Seashore within the Innes Nationwide Park on the Yorke Peninsula. The realm is a well-liked spot for browsing. 

Yorke Mid North Police, Detectives and Crime Scene Investigators have been responding to the scene. Police mentioned a report by the coroner is underway.

“It’s the most open part to the open ocean… that’s the main area that gets the swell,” Goody mentioned.

The assault follows the loss of life in Might of a 46-year-old mauled by a shark at Walkers Rocks Seashore on Eyre Peninsula.

The assault comes after a 55-year-old Australian man was killed by a shark in late October. The person was browsing round 10:20 a.m. close to Granites Seashore, south of Streaky Bay on the Eyre Peninsula when witnesses noticed a shark clench him in its jaws.
