Deiveson Figueiredo and Payton Talbott meet in a bantamweight co-main event that pits the experience of a former UFC champion against the momentum of one of the division’s rising names. Figueiredo made an impressive start at 135 pounds, winning his first three fights in the division, but has gone 1-4 across his last five outings.
The former flyweight champion remains dangerous everywhere. His power and grappling give him multiple ways to make the fight difficult for Talbott, while his experience could prove valuable if the younger fighter struggles to maintain his pace. Figueiredo also spent two months training in Thailand for this matchup.
Talbott returns for his first fight since defeating former two-division champion Henry Cejudo at UFC 323. The 27-year-old has built a solid reputation with his striking and distance management.
Figueiredo will likely look to close the distance, mix in wrestling and attack the legs, while Talbott should aim to keep the fight at range and force a high-tempo striking battle. How Figueiredo handles Talbott’s pace and reach could be key to the outcome.
UFC 332 takes place Saturday, October 3, at the Delta Center in Salt Lake City, with the main card beginning at 8 p.m. ET / 5 p.m. PT on CBS and Paramount+.
