Universal Tower Defense X Relics information

Universal Tower Defense X has a gear system in place called Relics. These are pieces of equipment that can be used to apply nifty bonuses, which may refine your units even further. They serve to enhance the unit-specific build-crafting aspect of the experience, being another layer of buffs to turn the chosen character into a one-unit army.

Here’s a complete guide to Relics in Universal Tower Defense X.

Relics are passive bonuses that can apply a myriad of improvements to the chosen unit. These can range from simple stat improvements to dedicated passive abilities, serving to amplify certain aspects of the chosen unit. Most often, these stat bonuses are applied to Damage and SPA, with secondary effects reserved for the Relic sets exclusive to certain units.

You can get Relics through random drops from Story, Legend, Raid, and Virtual Realm stages. Their drop chance is proportional to the effects they provide; the more elaborate the bonuses, the more challenging they are to acquire.

The effects these have on your units’ performance is measurably high, directly impacting how well they fit into their respective roles. For example, you may use a Relic set on a DPS unit to skyrocket its already high damage. Alternatively, you may do so for a Utility unit to make its damage more acceptable. The former is generally preferable, but the latter is not a bad option if your team is lacking damage in general.

While not as useful in the early parts of the game, Relics are drawn into focus in the endgame, where every bit of extra damage matters. Be sure to have your Relics sorted before tackling a Raid boss to maximize the odds of winning.

This guide covers the Traits system in Universal Tower Defense X.
