Team India’s ace batter Virat Kohli was recently spotted in London with the General Secretary of the Yuva Sena of Shiv Sena, Rahool N. Kanal. Their meeting came amid the star cricketer’s short break from international cricket.

Kohli was last seen in action during the Men in Blue’s three-match ODI series against England in July. During the break, he was seen meeting and interacting with Kanal in London.

Kohli was dismissed for five in the ODI series opener against England. He returned to form by notching up half-centuries in the remaining fixtures, recording scores of 65 and 74. England secured a 2-1 series victory over the visitors, claiming two consecutive wins following a six-wicket defeat in the first contest.

India‘s next ODI assignment will be a three-match home series against West Indies, beginning September 27 at Greenfield International Stadium, Thiruvananthapuram. The second and third ODIs will be played at Barsapara Cricket Stadium, Guwahati (September 30), and Maharaja Yadavindra Singh International Cricket Stadium, Mullanpur (October 3), respectively.

Maharashtra Deputy CM felicitates Virat Kohli in London during recent visit

Deputy Chief Minister of Maharashtra Eknath Shinde also met Virat Kohli during his visit to London. Shinde felicitated the former India captain with a shawl and a bouquet of flowers.

Commenting on their meeting, Shinde was quoted as saying by ANI:

“Virat Kohli lives in London, and when he learned that I am here, he met me for a goodwill visit. I was delighted that such a big Indian cricketer, the one with the most centuries, is so down-to-earth. We had met before, but I was particularly happy with the direct conversation we had today. We also discussed the award I received.

“I told him about various welfare schemes in Maharashtra. I spoke about infrastructure, and he himself remarked that the development Maharashtra has seen in recent years is unprecedented. I also shared our future plans and the infrastructure projects currently underway.”

Kohli has looked in impressive form in ODIs this year. He has amassed 384 runs across six innings in 2026, including one century and three half-centuries.
