WATCH: Somali-Born Democrat Candidate CRUMBLES While Giving His ‘Thoughts’ on Important Issues in This Resurfaced Clip

A Democratic candidate from Minnesota is getting unwanted attention after his answers at a previous forum went viral today.

Abdihakim Arabow Ibrahim, a Somali immigrant, is running for election to the Hennepin County Commission to represent District 3 in Minnesota. He is on the ballot for tomorrow’s election after advancing from the August 11 primary.

Ibrahim arrived in the United States in 2014, finishing a journey that started in Mogadishu, Somalia. Before coming to America, he studied in Pakistan and the United Arab Emirates.

He currently works as an engineer.

But a performance from roughly three months ago at a Hennepin County Commissioner District 3 Primary Candidate Forum is coming back to haunt Ibrahim.

Throughout the forum, Ibrahim is seen stuttering, going silent, and giving almost unintelligible responses in broken English to the moderator’s questions, unlike the other candidates.

For example, when asked about data center development in Hennepin County, Ibrahim froze at various points. When he actually spoke, he mumbled about doing “more research” before finally saying, “we’re not there yet.”

On public safety, Ibrahim struggles to speak up. His actual words consist of stuttering over “overrun budgets” and, in a few words, standing against ICE.

When asked about his governing approach, Ibrahim again froze and stumbled before admitting he does not have all the answers and vowing to listen.
