“Looks worse and worse by the game”: HOF TE Shannon Sharpe calls out Mark Andrews after Ravens star’s disappointing dropped go

Mark Andrews is facing the heat after another frustrating performance for the Baltimore Ravens. The three-time Pro Bowl tight end dropped a routine pass during Sunday’s game against the Buffalo Bills.

Hall of Famer Shannon Sharpe didn’t mince words about Andrews’ latest mistake.

“Andrews looks worse and worse by the game,” Sharpe tweeted on Sunday.

Andrews has struggled to find his rhythm this season as his role in Baltimore’s passing game has decreased. Isaiah Likely and Zay Flowers’ expanded roles have also affected his target share. The former third-round pick is left with less involvement than he has enjoyed in previous years. Sunday’s drop only added to the concerns.

Andrews has been one of Jackson’s most reliable targets since Baltimore drafted him in 2018. He entered this season with 56 touchdowns and more than 5,900 receiving yards, but his recent struggles have raised questions about his place in the offense.

Andrews has recorded just 29 receptions on 41 targets this season for 218 yards and one touchdown. With the Ravens fighting for a postseason berth in a competitive AFC North, they need more consistency from their veteran playmakers.

Mark Andrews reacts to Lamar Jackson’s injury

The Baltimore Ravens suffered another devastating setback against the Bills on Sunday as Lamar Jackson suffered a thumb injury on his first snap and was ruled out. Following Sunday’s 36–10 loss to the Bills, Mark Andrews addressed the two-time NFL MVP’s latest injury.

“Obviously it’s a tough break and it’s sad and a lot of unfortunate things kind of went our way. But we got a game in four days, so we got to be able to bounce back, get our bodies right, recover the best we can and be able to come back and fight through this adversity, fight through this battle. And we’re getting tested and we got to respond.”

Jackson fractured his right thumb on the first play after returning from a three-game absence with an ankle injury. He is expected to undergo surgery and be placed on injured reserve, potentially ending his season. Backup Tyler Huntley also left the game with turf toe. Rookie Joe Fagnano saw the Ravens out on Sunday.
