Wrathlander Is Back: “Mating With An Osprey”

The Brawling Birds saw personal shots come their way from the newest AEW team in the women’s division, Wrathlander.

In a video AEW posted on X, the duo of Kris Statlander and Harley Cameron appeared in a jungle setting with binoculars, looking for the Brawling Birds. During their search, Statlander says one of them is injured, referring to Jamie Hayter, who suffered at All Out 2026 PPV.

“Shame, one of them is injured.”

This led Cameron to take a shot at the other Brawling Birds member, Alex Windsor, and her relationship with her real-life husband, Will Ospreay. She said:

“You’re right Stat, one of them is injured and the other one, it appears to be mating with … an Osprey.”

The duo ended their promo by saying every creature has predators, and they would soon take the AEW Women’s World Tag Team Championships from them. Wrathlander was next in line to challenge the Brawling Birds for the tag titles at their latest pay-per-view, WrestleDream 2026. However, Hayter’s injury postponed those plans, and Wrathlander will likely have to wait for their shot.

Tony Khan on The Brawling Birds member Jamie Hayter’s injury

Jamie Hayter and Alex Windsor defended their AEW Women’s World Tag Team Championships against Divine Dominion (Megan Bayne and Lena Kross). AEW CEO Tony Khan revealed that Hayter suffered a major injury during the Chicago Street Fight at All Out 2026 pay-per-view. At the same time, Khan also hoped that Hayter would be back in a couple of weeks.

“I was hoping The Brawling Birds would be able to defend the Tag Team Championship, but Jamie Hayter, from that Chicago Street Fight, is still out injured. Hopefully Jamie Hayter will be back in a couple of weeks,” he said.

In her absence, Alex Windsor has recently been seen with her husband, AEW World Champion Will Ospreay, and his allies on television. At the same time, the future of the AEW Women’s World Tag Team titles remains uncertain. So, if Hayter can’t return within a few weeks, Tony Khan might vacate the titles, and other teams, including Wrathlander, could step up to take them.
