It appears heavyweight contender Valter Walker disapproves of Alex Pereira’s current lifestyle and believes ‘Poatan’ could be in for a rude awakening that threatens to derail his MMA career.
Walker believes Pereira now has a bruised ego following his loss to Ciryl Gane and will get knocked out in the first round in his upcoming fight against Sergei Pavlovich.
During a recent interview with Sexto Round MMA, the Brazilian took a dig at Pereira over his recent Lamborghini purchase, saying:
“Everything for him is buying luxury cars. Did you see that last luxury car he bought that he doesn’t even fit in? To me, anyone who buys a luxury car they don’t fit in has a small [expletive].”

Walker then went on to claim that after Pavlovich knocks Pereira out, he would make light work of ‘Poatan’ with his signature heel hook and bring his MMA career to an end:
“He has a very bruised ego. He’s gonna get KO’d in the first round, then I’ll fight him, take his foot. Brother, you can expect Poatan back at the tire shop. Unfortunately, that is the future waiting for him.” [H/t: ACD MMA on X]

Pereira has been campaigning for a rematch against Ciryl Gane ever since his knockout loss at UFC Freedom 250. However, ‘Poatan’ ultimately failed to secure the fight, with Gane now set to face Josh Hokit for the heavyweight title at UFC 334. Pereira will next take on Pavlovich at UFC 335 on Dec.12.
Ex-UFC champion shares definitive prediction for Alex Pereira vs. Sergei Pavlovich
As former UFC middleweight champion Michael Bisping sees it, Alex Pereira has shown great courage by agreeing to face Sergei Pavlovich, the heavyweight known for his incredible power and history of first-round knockouts.
During a recent appearance on the JAXXON Podcast, Bisping shared his prediction for the upcoming fight, admitting that he would be surprised if Pereira pulled off the win:
“This is a very, very dangerous fight for Alex Pereira. Pavlovich was knocking everyone out in the very first round. He just knocked out Tallison Teixeira in about 30 seconds. He’s got gigantic b**ls for taking this fight, but I don’t think it’s a good matchup for him. If Pereira pulled it off, God bless him, but I would put my money on Sergei Pavlovich.”
