Real Madrid midfielder Jude Bellingham reacted after Formula One legend Lewis Hamilton questioned him for being unable to drive. The 23-year-old is enjoying a fine start to life under Jose Mourinho at the Bernabeu, with Los Blancos winning four of five games so far this term.

Two of England’s finest sportsmen, Bellingham and Hamilton, met in Madrid for a viral EA Sports F1 25 partnership ad ahead of the Spanish Grand Prix scheduled for this weekend. During their interaction on camera, Hamilton tried to find out if Bellingham could drive, but the Real Madrid man revealed that he does not even have a license. Hamilton was disappointed and teased him, causing Bellingham to liken the driver to his mother.

Lewis Hamilton: “Do you know how to drive, like on real life…?”

Jude Bellingham: “No.”

Lewis Hamilton: “You don’t have a driver license?”

Jude Bellingham: “No, no license, nothing… It’s really bad.”

Lewis Hamilton: “What? You’re 23.”

Jude Bellingham: “I know. I know. Everyone keeps saying it. You sound like my mom.”

The whole of Madrid is keenly anticipating this weekend’s Spanish Grand Prix at the purpose-built Madring circuit, and even Real Madrid legend Raul Gonzalez has been involved in the promotion of the event. Formula One is set to return to the city for the first time in 45 years, and the Spanish Grand Prix has been added to the calendar for the next ten years.

Bellingham‘s inability to drive has been pointed out in the past by his younger brother Jobe, who plays for Borussia Dortmund. According to the younger Bellingham, their mother is permanently resident with the Real Madrid man for several reasons, one of which is his inability to drive himself.

Real Madrid are already working on a contract extension for star midfielder Jude Bellingham, according to reports. The Spanish giants are keen to tie down the England international, who has been a key player since his arrival from Borussia Dortmund in the summer of 2023.

According to Fabrizio Romano, talks have commenced between Los Blancos and the representatives of the 23-year-old midfielder. Both parties are keen to find an agreement, as the club is prioritising the extension of Bellingham’s contract beyond its current expiry date of June 2029.

Bellingham has played 145 times for the Spanish giants, scoring 48 goals and providing 34 assists from midfield. He will become the next one of the club’s stars to sign a new deal, after Vinicius Junior penned a long-term contract this summer.
