ONE flyweight MMA mainstay Danny Kingad of the Philippines says his hunger never faded even during his extended hiatus.
‘The King’ returns to action this Friday, Feb. 13, at ONE Fight Night 40, where he’ll take on feared KO artist ‘Wolf Warrior’ Hu Yong inside the fabled Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand.
The 30-year-old has been out of the limelight for the past year after dealing with injuries and welcoming his second child.
The Lions Nation MMA veteran continued his work behind closed doors quietly, preparing for the moment he reports for duty.

That day has finally come against a formidable foe. Like Kingad, Hu Yong also dropped his last two bouts, making this battle pivotal for both warriors.
With sights on redemption and perhaps another run for a world title shot, Kingad will give everything he’s got to see his hand raised once more.
Moreover, the now father of two says he’s more inspired to collect a $50,000 performance bonus this Friday.
“I’m always motivated. Especially now, the stakes are higher. I just really want to win. It’s been a while. So I won’t force it, I believe that bonus will come at the right time,” Kingad told ONE Championship ahead of his comeback fight.
Danny Kingad says clash with Hu Yong will be must-see TV
Danny Kingad never backs away from any challenge, and Hu Yong is also cut from the same cloth.
Needless to say, these two fiery veterans will produce fireworks once they share the ring this coming Friday inside ‘The Mecca of Muay Thai’.
“Expect that this will be an explosive fight. We’re both coming off losses, and we’re both hungry. I’m very excited to do what I do best and get my career back on track,” the 30-year-old Filipino told the promotion.
