MJF Calls Controversial AEW Star a “Fake powerful man”

A controversial AEW star has found himself in the crosshairs of MJF, who has, in turn, called him a fake tough guy.

MJF reclaimed his place at the top of the food chain in AEW by winning the World Title from Darby Allin at Double or Nothing 2026. Many would say it was a do-or-die situation for The Salt of the Earth, as he would have been shaved bald by Allin if he had lost. Nonetheless, things fell into place for Friedman, who celebrated his triumph on the May 27 episode of Dynamite+Collision. However, his joyous moment was cut short by two new challengers, including controversial star RUSH.

After telling the other challenger, Mark Briscoe, that he’s not on his level, Friedman tried to leave the arena but was met by RUSH on the ramp. The Mexican star, who has seen his share of wrestling controversies, asked Big Hebrew for a shot, and the latter agreed to it for next week. Earlier today, MJF reshared the official AEW X post confirming their match for the June 3 edition of Dynamite and called the Bull a fake tough guy before predicting an easy victory for himself.

MJF says AEW will d*e if he leaves the promotion

MJF’s AEW World Championship victory at Double or Nothing 2026 was preceded by a bombshell comment he made about the Jacksonville-based promotion. Ahead of the pay-per-view, The Salt of the Earth sat down for a Q&A with the Hollywood Reporter, where one of the questions he addressed was what would happen to All Elite Wrestling if he were to leave for WWE or transition to Hollywood full-time. In response, the Wolf of Wrestling said the promotion would d*e fast.

“It d*es. It d*es probably a fast — not even a slow and painful death. And that’s OK, you know. I love AEW, I love everybody that works there, but, like I said, I can’t be in the position I’m in without having the pass the ball, but if they couldn’t pass the ball back to me? Jesus Christ. Now that MJF is back at the summit of All Elite Wrestling, it will be interesting to see how Tony Khan will book him going forward.
