WWE may have subtly hinted that a major name, a ten-time World Champion, could be missing SummerSlam 2026 despite what everybody thought. This follows the events of Night of Champions 2026.
At Night of Champions 2026, WWE wrapped up a few stories and focal points, such as the King and Queen of the Ring tournament. Even Seth Rollins’ 14-month-long story with The Vision came to an end after his win over a busted open Bron Breakker. Speaking of the King of the Ring tournament, Oba Femi defeated Jey Uso in the finals to earn his spot in the main event of SummerSlam 2026, whether that’s night one or two. What surprised many was the fact that Brock Lesnar didn’t come out of nowhere to cost Oba Femi the finals. Instead, Oba Femi completely crushed Jey Uso to win the tournament, and his decision of who he will face in Minneapolis will be confirmed on RAW in Atlantic City.
Thanks for the submission!
Because Brock Lesnar didn’t return at Night of Champions to cost Oba Femi, this may have been WWE subtly confirming that the 10-time World Champion will not be present at SummerSlam 2026.
It’s surprising that WWE would decide to have Oba Femi and Brock Lesnar go 1-1 without a plan for a follow-up match. Perhaps if Oba Femi becomes a World Champion at the biggest party of the summer, Lesnar will strategically return to face The Ruler for the World Championship, and he can add to his existing 10 World Titles.
Either way, one has to imagine that the trilogy match is going to happen one way or the other. However, it would be extremely surprising if Brock Lesnar wasn’t in Minneapolis because he was billed from the city for the longest time. He doesn’t live there anymore, but it’s an important place in his life story.
