Serena Williams, one of the most decorated women’s tennis players in history, has arrived at the Queen’s Club in West Kensington for the HSBC Championships as she fine-tunes her seasoned skills ahead of her potential appearance at this year’s Wimbledon.
The French Open fever is still high as the tournament is heading towards its business end. However, fans have already started to look towards the grass season, which will mark the return of their beloved star. The 23-time Grand Slam champion recently announced her return to tennis after nearly a four-year break.

Williams bid adieu to the sport at the 2022 US Open, just a month before her 41st birthday. Fast forward to the present date, visuals have gone viral of Williams walking on the grass court with the racket in her hand as strong wind blew across the venue.
Victoria Mboko, whose time at Roland Garros ended with a third-round loss against Madison Keys, was also present at the venue with the tennis icon. The World No. 9 posed with Serena Williams and expressed her excitement to team up with her idol in the doubles event.
“The Queen is back. An honor to share the court with one of the greatest athletes of all time this week. Even more excited to play doubles together! Tennis is pretty special,” Victoria Mboko captioned her post on Instagram.
Fans can witness the duo dazzle at the HSBC Championships, scheduled to run from June 8 to 14, marking the commencement of the grass-court swing.

Initially, Serena Williams had debunked the rumours, but her latest announcement has cleared the air. She explained that Queen’s Club felt the “perfect place” to kick off the next chapter in her career.
“Queen’s Club feels like the perfect place to begin this next chapter. Grass has given me some of the most meaningful moments of my career, and I’m excited to be back competing on one of the sport’s most iconic stages.”
