Fresh off the back of clinching UEFA Conference League qualification, Getafe return to action in the Spanish La Liga when they visit the Estadio El Sadar to face Osasuna on Monday. It has been a solid start to the new campaign for the hosts, who will be looking to make it seven points from the first nine available and strengthen their early-season form.
Osasuna turned in a resilient team display last Thursday when they fought back from behind to secure a 2-1 victory over Celta Vigo, which was their first win of the season at the Estadio Abanca Balaidos.

Before that, Luis Miguel Ramis’ men kicked off the season with a goalless draw against Levante at the Estadio El Sadar on August 24, with both sides guilty of a wasteful display in front of goal.
Osasuna will look to secure back-to-back La Liga victories for the first time since January, but Monday’s tie pits them against an opposing side who are unbeaten in 12 of their last 14 meetings, claiming seven wins and five draws since November 2019.
Meanwhile, a 3-1 first-leg victory over Partizan was enough to send Getafe through to the Conference League group stages, with the Azulones suffering a 2-1 defeat in the second leg of their playoff tie on Thursday to claim a 4-3 aggregate win over the Serbian outfit.
Jose Bordalas’ side now turn their focus to La Liga, where they bounced back from a 3-0 opening-day loss against Alaves on August 15 with a 1-0 victory over Racing Santander last Sunday.
Getafe head into the new La Liga campaign aiming to continue from where they left off last season, when they finished seventh in the standings, their highest position since clinching fifth place in 2018-19.
