The AEW Women’s World Championship is currently held by Thekla. The Toxic Spider won this title by dethroning Kris Statlander earlier this year on Dynamite. Her reign has been dominant so far. She is also a member of the Triangle of Madness faction. Apart from her, this group consists of Julia Hart and Skye Blue.
The Triangle of Madness recently became the Artist of Stardom Champions by defeating the previous title holders, Dream Trine (Hina, Ami Sohrei, and Lady C). This amazing showdown happened on the first night of this year’s Stardom 5 Star Grand Prix in Ota, Tokyo.
After this triumph, the Toxic Spider addressed the Japanese promotion’s president, Taro Okada. The heel faction plans to take their newly won titles beyond Japan.

Thekla has held the Artist of Stardom Championship before with Giulia and Mai Sakurai. Hopefully, she, Hart, and Blue will have a lengthy reign.
Willow Nightingale will challenge the Austrian star for the Women’s World Title at Redemption later this month. Hopefully, this match will deliver.
AEW star Thekla reveals that Stardom shaped her career
Before joining All Elite Wrestling, Thekla was a Stardom mainstay. She had an amazing run in the Japanese company, where she held multiple titles. In a recent interview with Clutchpoints, the Toxic Spider credited Stardom for shaping her career.
“Stardom very much shaped my career. That’s where I learned the ropes, more or less. Became more of a technical wrestler, and just learned to be able to deal with very harsh schedules. Did everything from TV to interviews to being on the road for days, the tour bus life, and then also tried out new things. But also, at some point, you know, do my own thing as the Idol Killer, which was probably the most fun I had had in my career until that point.” [H/T: Fightful]
